Taylor is a contemporary wedge-serif typeface loosely inspired by the chunky newsprint faces of the turn of the century. Brimming with personality, Taylor is characterized by it's large, triangular serifs, wide aperture, and subtly angular curves. Available in 4 weights, Taylor is suitabale for use in both headlines and body copy, with high legibility down to 10pt. The full feature set of the family includes standard and discretionary ligatures, proportional and tabular numerals, fractions and mathematical symbols, standard and extended punctuation, diacritical marks and language support for 50+ latin languages.
Taylor was created primarily as a typographic exercise, with the overarching goal of gaining a more in-depth understanding of the painstaking process of working with typography on this scale. It is not yet available for download/commercial use, however you can try it for yourself on the microsite here.
